Welcome to the J. Percy Page Community!

Principal's Message

When I stepped into the J. Percy Page School for the first time, I took in the moment and felt a sense of honour in having the opportunity  to serve this community.  J. Percy Page High School has built its success through working cooperatively with families and the community by providing meaningful educational experiences for each of its students. It is through these relationships that the staff at J Percy Page help our students successfully navigate high school.

J. Percy Page High School is a proud community of learners who embrace challenges and celebrate successes in academics, athletics, fine arts, and service. We provide a safe and inclusive environment that focuses on engaged teaching and learning. J. Percy Page believes that all students can thrive and be successful in an environment that is kind, respectful, and safe. We are guided by our vision of creating a school that exhibits pillars of being CaringCommunicating openly and demonstrating Clarity to support our students and families as they experience High School and all that it entails.  This is the time to make a difference and learn what it takes to get there.

To our new and returning families, we welcome your involvement in your child’s education.  Within this newsletter you will find important dates and times of events throughout the year that will be of interest to you.  Our commitment to you is to establish regular and open communication between the school and your home.  We are committed to using SchoolZone, an Internet based communication tool that is user friendly, to share key information between the school and your home on a regular basis.

I look forward to serving you, our staff, our community partners and most importantly our students as the principal this coming year.

Martin Fechner

  • J. Percy Page Bike-A-Thon Breaks Records and Builds Community

On November 22, 2024, J. Percy Page High School hosted its highly anticipated annual Bike-A-Thon, raising an incredible $85,220.33 in support of The Erika Legacy Foundation. The event brought together 322 dedicated participants who pedaled tirelessly through the day, supported by approximately 80 student, alumni, and staff volunteers. Teams of 12 cycled in shifts for 24 hours, fostering friendships, school spirit, and a shared sense of purpose. With music, themed costums, and a buzz of excitement filling the gym, this year’s event smashed its $55,000 goal, demonstrating the power of community collaboration.

The Bike-A-Thon is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a powerful community builder that strengthens friendships and connections across the school. Participants and volunteers create bonds during the event that carry over into the rest of the school year, helping students feel more confident and supported in other areas of their lives. These connections create a lasting ripple effect, fostering a sense of belonging and empowering students to tackle challenges with the confidence and support of their peers.
